The ROKIT Locator from Bosch Rexroth is an intelligent localization software for logistics. It enables reliable real-time location of different types of vehicles – from manual and autonomous forklifts to automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) – in numerous changing indoor and outdoor industrial environments. This is made possible by a powerful algorithm. Using a laser sensor on the vehicle, it automatically captures the natural surroundings while driving and creates a digital map of the surroundings in real time that is continuously and automatically updated. The ROKIT Locator can be easily controlled and linked via the intuitive aXessor graphical user interface. Automatic map update: The localization software automatically detects any changes in the environment, continuously updates the digital map of the surroundings and makes it available to the entire ROKIT Locator fleet. Automatic initial localization: Our ROKIT Locator is able to independently and automatically re-locate itself when a position change has been made. Express mapping – guided live mapping: Neither infrastructure adjustments nor expert knowledge required – map your surroundings with just one click. Live mapping supports commissioning of complex application by providing visual records. Manual map alignment: Rotate and move your digital map of the surroundings as you like. Possible adaptation to reference system: The ROKIT Locator map can be easily aligned to your existing coordinate system. Radodometry fusion: For even more robust real-time localization in special situations such as in open spaces, additional sensor sources can be optionally integrated. This allows the localization software to fuse the information from the captured laser data with the estimated vehicle movement from the wheel rotations, if needed. Map expansion: Real-time localization makes it possible to expand existing ROKIT Locator maps and replace map areas. Dual laser: Depending on the individual application and requirements, the ROKIT Locator can support up to two lasers. This increases the robustness of your AGV. Autocalibration: Vehicle sensors are automatically calibrated to each other. This way, commissioning is made easier for you. Advanced localization details: Within the live view of the aXessor you get a visual overview of advanced localization data and information of the ROKIT Locator algorithm for better understanding of the parameters.
