To help utilities combat this growing and costly phenomenon, we’ve introduced new features that complement our comprehensive tamper protection and detection solution for Honeywell Diaphragm Gas Meter (BK series), namely a grey and a transparent fragile Index Cover (SAN) and a Smart Metrological Seal. These new product features provide higher protection against manipulation and more efficient and faster on-site check of installed Diaphragm Gas Meter with regards to manipulation detection. That leads to a higher share of detected tampered gas meters as well as less manipulated gas meters in the network, because of a higher deterrent effect and a higher effort to manipulate gas meters. The new index covers and the Smart Seal are applicable for new Diaphragm Gas Meter but also for re-calibrated Honeywell Diaphragm Gas Meter of the already installed meter base.
