SWIFT wireless detectors communicate across a Class A mesh network. Wireless detectors create an opportunity for applications where it is costly (concrete walls/ceilings, buried wires), obtrusive (surface mount conduit), or possibly dangerous (asbestos) to use traditional wired devices.
